Apple's "Smart Siri" Delayed Until 2027
DeepSeek Claims 545% Profit Margins (Yes, Really)
OpenAI Bringing Sora to ChatGPT Soon
Let’s dive in!
Three major headlines
Three main stories for the day.
1/ Apple's "Smart Siri" Delayed Until 2027

Apple's grand plans to give Siri a brain transplant are now on ice until at least 2027.
Bloomberg reports the company is struggling to merge Siri's basic command system with the fancy new AI architecture.
Meanwhile, Google and OpenAI's assistants are getting smarter by the day.
It's like Apple showed up to an F1 race with a bicycle that's still in the assembly phase.

2/ DeepSeek Claims 545% Profit Margins (Yes, Really)

Chinese AI startup DeepSeek is flexing some serious profit numbers - claiming their inference services generated a 545% profit margin in just 24 hours.
How?
By running their models on rented Nvidia GPUs at maximum efficiency.
If true, this explains why every tech company is diving into the AI pool like it's filled with liquid gold.
Though DeepSeek did add some fine print that these numbers are "purely theoretical"... which is business-speak for "don't quote us on this."

3/ OpenAI Bringing Sora to ChatGPT Soon

OpenAI plans to integrate its mind-blowing Sora video generator directly into ChatGPT.
They're also eyeing a dedicated mobile app, presumably for those times you absolutely need to create a convincing fake video while in line at Starbucks.
No timeline yet, but OpenAI is hiring mobile engineers faster than a kid grabs candy at Halloween.
The current standalone Sora costs $20/month and can generate videos up to 20 seconds long from text prompts.
That's all for today!
Ready for some more AI drama tomorrow? I'll be here spinning the latest tech tales.

🐤Tweet of the day
the fundamental flaw in the “everyone will just build their own apps” take is that ppl assume just like content software is a one & done artifact. but in fact software is actually a living thing that requires upkeep, iteration, & polish. most people don’t want to design & debug… x.com/i/web/status/1…
