1/ OpenAI Co-founder Does the Startup Shuffle

Remember when John Schulman left OpenAI for Anthropic?

Well, plot twist - he's now joining Mira Murati's mysterious startup after just 5 months!

Their company is still unnamed but is already snagging top talent from OpenAI, Character AI, and DeepMind.

Looks like Silicon Valley's game of musical chairs just got spicier!

With $100M+ in potential funding talks, this could be the next big player in AI - or at least the next big plot twist.

2/ There’s anxiety over AI agents

MIT's Max Tegmark and AI pioneer Yoshua Bengio are waving red flags about AI agents.

Their worry? Making AI systems too independent could be like "creating a new species" without knowing if they'll play nice with humans.

Their suggestion?

Stick to "tool AI" - systems with specific purposes we can control.

You know, like having a helpful robot butler instead of a potential robot overlord!

3/ Mistral Makes Moves 🚀

Europe's AI golden child is bringing Le Chat to your phone!

They're launching both iOS and Android apps, plus a fancy $14.99/month Pro tier.

What's cool? They claim to be able to spit out 1,000 words per second (take that, ChatGPT!).

Plus, they're partnering with AFP for legit news sourcing.

The kicker? Unlike other enterprise AI solutions, you can run Le Chat completely on-premise.
